Figurative Sculptures and Shadows
Discuss how a sculpture differs from a painting: it has a front, a side, a back, a top, a bottom. Look at examples of sculptures. Identify and compare parts of scuptures.
What is a sculpture? How do I make a statue of myself...what will I be doing?
Students will make their body out of foil and will learn how to make a sculpture from observation.
Students should be able to:
Identify features such as arms, hands fingers legs feet toes
Talk about similarities and differences in appearance
Make an inner structure for their statue.
